jetlag ahoy.we went on a drive to windsor to day. we visited the eton college, well we weren't allow exactly in it just outside. vania, grace and i saw the eaton guys and i must say they were rather smart looking. their uniform is ultra cool, it looks like a long tux with a bow-tie. hehehe : D
oh i had burger king for lunch today so now i have burger breath haha. after windsor we headed to river thames, it was beautiful, with large open fields many many swans/ducks. the large open fields reminded me of the scenes in pride and prejudice where kiera knightly runs around with the guy that play Mr. Darcy. lovely indeed.
everything is wickedly expensive here, my regular burger king meal cost me S$12++. vania keeps telling me to equate 1 pound as 1 singapore dollar, when its supposed to be 1 pound= 3 singapore dollars. its crazy.
the daylight hours are so short in winter, it gets totally dark by five. so by the time we were done with our trip to windsor it was already almost day. anyway we don't really get much sunlight here, its cloudy from dawn to dusk. what a nostalgic atmosphere, perfect for people suffering from depression.
anyway we will be heading to london tomorrow, i would tell you the exact places we're planning to go but my uncle's(he plans the daily activities) is too cursive and so i can't really read it. oh well. we won't be staying at vania's home tomorrow night, my family will be heading to a london apartment. so i have this feeling that i'll be accomodating myself on the floor for the next 4 nights or so. poor poor me, but the mattress that i sleep on at vania's house isn't any better. i feel like the princess in the book ' princess and the pea' with a thousand peas scattered all over the base of the mattress.
its difficult to catch people online from here with the time difference of 8hrs. sigh.
